World Coordinate System (WCS) Parameters

Schema Definitions ¶
This type is an object with the following properties:
v2_ref
number Required Coordinate of the reference position along the telescope V2 axis in units of arcseconds.
v3_ref
number Required Coordinate of the reference position along the telescope V3 axis in units of arcseconds.
vparity
integer Required Relative sense of rotation between the ideal and telescope coordinate systems. The value may be either 1 or -1. See documents STScI-JWST-001550 and STScI-Roman-000143 for more information.
v3yangle
number Required Angle between the telescope V3 axis and the ideal coordinate frame y-axis in units of degrees.
ra_ref
number Required Right ascension of the reference position on the sky in units of degrees.
dec_ref
number Required Declination of the reference position on the sky in units of degrees.
roll_ref
number Required Position angle of the V3 axis at the reference position measured from North to East.
s_region
string Required No length restrictionThe region of the sky enclosed by the observation footprint. This is given as a polygon stored as a string with the vertices defined by a list of right ascension and declination pairs in units of degrees.
